Tasks
We are looking for a Business Development & Strategic Projects Manager to support and lead strategic business development and acquisition projects across the Group’s Reatil Business Unit.
This is a broad, high-visibility role combining strategy, M&A, project management, business analysis and senior stakeholder management. You will work closely with the Retail Business Development team, senior management and the Board, contributing to projects across our multi-country retail operations.
- Contribute to shaping the Retail Business Unit’s strategic and acquisition agenda, providing analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Support the identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets and strategic business opportunities.
- Own the end-to-end delivery of several concurrent strategic and M&A projects, coordinating timelines, deliverables and cross-functional input.
- Prepare management presentations and decision-ready materials, ensuring complex information is structured, accurate and clearly communicated.
- Analyse business and project information to identify key findings, risks, dependencies and opportunities.
- Track and consolidate progress across multiple strategic and acquisition projects and proactively flag risks and dependencies.
- Act as a central point of coordination between the Retail Business Development team, senior management and project stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with external advisors involved in strategic and acquisition projects and ensure timely delivery of their inputs.
Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
- 5-7+ years of relevant professional experience in business development, corporate strategy, M&A, consulting, investment banking or a similar field.
- Experience with senior stakeholder and/or board-level reporting.
- Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to synthesise complex information into clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in parallel, often in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of discretion and reliability when handling sensitive strategic and business information.
- Fluent business English, both written and spoken.
- Native Hungarian
